Invitations List updated

We've been tailoring our Guest list. Jahzel forgot to put her grandfather on there.... how come no one caught that? Anyways, the guests list was getting ridiculosuly long. Even with Jahzel's parents' additions still missing. Consequently we had to remove the +1 guest allowance for our friends and single family members. The only exception of course is for unmarried guests in serious relationships.

New Colour Scheme

Yes.. we have decided on a different colour scheme than lilac and white. We were inspired by an avocado. The new colour scheme is now green and gold. :)

Venue Shopping

We've visited Westwood Plateau and decided it was not for us. The setting was not as private as we had hoped for. In fact, the garden for the ceremony was right beside a road. Bleh! So we started shopping around. We looked at Swaneset Bay Resort, Carnoustie Golf Club, Pit Meadows Golf Club, Meadow Gardens and Diamond Alumni Centre.

After physically visiting these places we've narrowed it down to the Diamond Alumni Centre, which is in SFU Burnaby Mountain, and Meadow Gardens which is a Golf Club in Pitt Meadows. Meadow Gardens is a LOT larger, but Diamond Alumni Centre is more secluded and the setting more beautiful. Admittedly Devin and I are leaning towards Diamond Alumni Centre. Not only does it offer more memories for us, since we both attended this campus, but we are also allowed full use of the campus grounds for photographs. And of course our guest will have something to do between the ceremony and reception since there are gardens to walk in, small shops to look at, and fountains to sit by.

Right now we are trying to set an appointment to show our parents the venue, and to ask more in depth questions.
