To our bridesmaids and groomsmen..

It has come to our attention that it is tradition for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to pay for their dresses and tuxedos. Because of this, we will be personally be asking our chosen friends if they are willing to make this commitment.

I'm not sure how much a tuxedo rental is (something similar to your Grad, guys). The bridesmaid dresses will be about $40 or $50.

Dinner With the Parents

Devin and I had a dinner with our parents and my Godmother, Ninang Elvie. It was a quiet evening where we made quiet plans about the wedding and dined on the Roast beef dinner that Devin cooked. This is how the evening was summarized:

• We have made an appointment/viewing on Saturday, June 3rd at the Westwood Plateau gardens. Anyone who wants to attend is more than welcome. Call or email me please if you want to know the time.
  
• We have decided on a brunch wedding.


• Both sets of parents had additions to the invitations list. Approximately an addition of 50 more. (The document will be updated soon)


• The groomsmen have been finalized. As Devin's only brother, Ryan will be the best man. Jeriel, Will, Brenden, and Stuart are the other four. Consequently this means that a 5th bridesmaid will have to be decided on.


• Our budget for the wedding is a maximum of $10 000. Devin and I will be opening a savings account together and will be working hard to save up this money!


• We need to choose 2 Masters of Ceremony. (Since we don't yet have mutual friends that has known us both for a long time.
  
• The rehearsal and rehearsal dinner will be held at my parent's house and will be catered by both our mothers.


• My family is in charged of getting the dresses made for the bridesmaid. Devin's family is in charge of organizing the tuxedos for the groomsmen.


• Both Dads will be wearing tuxedos. The mothers will be wearing colours on opposite side of the spectrum. My Mom is wearing a light colour, beige or lavender. Devin's Mom is wearing a dark blue or a similar hue.


• Devin's Mom has found an award winning photographer that she is going to talk to on behalf of us.

The Planning Begins

We've started planning for our wedding. We really want an August Wedding, because this is the month that we first met. After some consideration, we decided that 4 months is too little to plan a wedding, lol. So its going to be August 2007.

This is what we decided on so far:

• The day, August 12 on a Sunday (new moon)
• The colour theme is white and lilac
• We are heavily considering a garden wedding
• The invitation and wedding dress to be from the Philippines
• Possibly Gaberiel for ring bearer
• Possibly Erin for flower girl
• The maid of honour is Jerah Regualos
• The 3 bridesmaids are Corinne, Julia & Ciena
• The groomsmen undecided, but Jeriel and Will are gonna be 2 of them for sure
